Skiathos island is located in Sporades islands, Greece. It is the most developed island of Sporades complex in tourist facilities. Skiathos island is famous for it’s beautiful sandy beaches and it’s pine forests. Hospitality, beautiful climate and extended tourist facilities such as restaurants, taverns, bars, but also quiet places for relaxation, will give you the sence of home.

Skiathos Beaches

Skiathos Island has more than a hundred beaches all around and while most of them are very easily accessible, some remain “hidden treasures” where you can get by car or by boat. Most of the beaches are organized providing sunbeds and small tavernas and cafe bars. Water sports like Water Ski, Parachute, Rings are very popular and entertaining. Alternatively you can rent a Boat for a small trip to the neighboring islands.

Skiathos Town

The people, the colours, the sounds and the atmosphere of Skiathos Town are more than enough to make you feel Summer in Greece, while walking the streets, having dinner or shopping. The port has perfect colors during the afternoon from a combination of the sunset, the sea, and the Pounda peninsula making it ideal for relaxing walks by the sailing boats. The old port is the starting point for almost all the boats that get you on a daily trip around the island or Tsougrias island.


The Land of Culture

Skiathos Island is the land of Culture with great monasteries and numerous churches and chapels between the pine forests that tell their own stories.

Kastro (The old City Ruins) is a great landmark anyone should visit. It used to be the fortress against pirate raids during the 14th century, a peninsula on the northern side of the island. Kastro was abandoned in 1830 and since recent years it has been a place to visit and feel the history of  the island.

Explore the forests

Skiathos Island is green all the way and is the best fit for anyone looking to walk in Nature, hike or bike. Everyone is happy as there places for easy walks in the forest as well more adventurous trails and hills for the interested parties.

There are many areas for walking, hiking, trail running, mountain biking in the green forests. There are some known routes which you can follow or join groups in organized excursions to Nature!
